FACT: Three DRS-8 Underwater
Speakers were used
in the 50 Meter Olympic Pool at the Georgia Tech Aquatic
Center for the Centennial Olympic Games in 1996 for the
Synchronized Swimming Events.
FACT: The DRS-8
Underwater Speaker is the ONLY
underwater speaker used in the Neutral Buoyancy Lab
located in "STAR CITY" outside
Moscow, RUSSIA
in a one way communication system to get instructions
from the Command Center to the support SCUBA Divers
in the water with the
COSMONAUTS during training
for SPACE MISSIONS to simulate Zero-Gravity. The
DRS-8 is also the ONLY Underwater Speaker being
used at the Sonny Carter Astronaut Training Facility
(Neutral Buoyancy Lab) in Houston, Texas where
American ASTRONAUTS train in water to simulate
ZERO-GRAVITY for Space Shuttle Missions and to
train for the International Space Station Program.
